What this site does
DPI Mouse Analyzer provides browser-based mouse diagnostics and calculators. The main analyzer estimates mouse DPI by comparing a known physical movement with pointer movement observed by the browser.
Our measurement methodology
The site does not claim to read a mouse sensor's private hardware register. Instead, it measures what the browser can observe and presents the result as an estimate. Multiple trials, average, median and spread help users judge repeatability.
Why we explain limitations
A useful tool should make clear what it can and cannot measure. Browser APIs expose pointer events, not every detail of the hardware input path. Operating-system acceleration, scaling, event coalescing and physical movement can affect results.
Tools and calculations
The site also includes eDPI, cm/360 and sensitivity calculators plus mouse testing utilities. These are intended for practical experimentation and comparison, not certified hardware benchmarking.
How to get better results
- Use a measured physical distance.
- Repeat several trials.
- Disable acceleration when appropriate.
- Keep the same environment during comparisons.
- Use manufacturer software when you need the exact configured DPI.
