cm/360 Calculator
cm/360 tells you how far you must move your mouse, in centimetres, to turn a full 360 degrees in a game. It is more intuitive than raw sensitivity numbers and lets you compare setups across different games.
How to use the cm/360 Calculator
- Enter your DPI and in-game sensitivity.
- Enter the game's yaw constant (0.022 for CS2, 0.07 for Valorant).
- Read the distance in centimetres and inches for a full turn.
- Use the reverse mode to find the sensitivity for a target cm/360.
Understanding your results
Worked examples: from settings to distance
The formula is cm/360 = 360 × 2.54 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × yaw). Here are two examples you can check by hand:
- CS2: 800 DPI × 1.2 sensitivity × 0.022 yaw = 21.12. Then 914.4 ÷ 21.12 ≈ 43.3 cm (about 17.0 inches) for a full turn.
- Valorant: 800 DPI × 0.4 sensitivity × 0.07 yaw = 22.4. Then 914.4 ÷ 22.4 ≈ 40.8 cm for a full turn.
Reverse mode works the other way. Suppose you want a 30 cm turn in CS2 at 800 DPI. Sensitivity = 914.4 ÷ (30 × 800 × 0.022) = 914.4 ÷ 528 ≈ 1.73. Rounding to the nearest value your game allows will move the result by a few millimetres, which is normally not noticeable.
Tips for using cm/360 well
- Let your desk decide the upper limit. If a full turn is longer than your mouse pad is wide, you will have to lift and reposition during turns. Many players pick a distance that fits comfortably on their pad.
- Check the yaw value for your game. The same sensitivity number means different distances in different games, and the yaw can change between engine versions. Use the value from the game's documentation or a trusted community source.
- Use your real DPI. If the mouse is not set to the DPI you think it is, every result is off. Confirm it with the DPI analyzer or your mouse software.
- Convert between games with the same distance. To keep the same feel when you switch games, calculate your current cm/360 and then use reverse mode with the new game's yaw value. The sensitivity tool shows the idea visually.
Game-specific setups are covered in the Valorant and CS2 guides.
cm/360 Calculator FAQ
What is a yaw value?
It is the number of degrees the view turns per mouse count at sensitivity 1. It differs between games.
What is a normal cm/360?
It varies by player and game. Choose a distance that lets you turn comfortably and aim precisely.
Is cm/360 the same as eDPI?
No. eDPI combines DPI and sensitivity into one speed number, while cm/360 converts it into a physical distance.
